Michele is Co-Founder and CEO of The Alpha Play, Inc. Michele brings over 20 years of expertise in law, operations, and finance. With a background at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Skadden Arps, she has facilitated over $8 billion in financial transactions, including corporate mergers and the privatization of the Argentina National Airport System.
Over the past decade, she has worked as a consultant and served in advisory or interim C-level roles at multiple startups in various industry verticals including fintech, blockchain, sportstech, and telehealth. She was also interim-COO of an impact-focused real estate fund.
Michele earned an AB from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a JD/MBA from Stanford University.
Jay is Co-Founder and Advisor to The Alpha Play, Inc. Jay is a builder and also an advisor to funds, family offices, and high-growth companies. Jay has worked with companies in enterprise SaaS, fintech, proptech, entertainment, and beyond.
Jay spent five years in the Office of the CEO at Vista Equity Partners focused on organization-wide strategic projects and operations, in investment banking at Credit Suisse, and as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Techstars Los Angeles and at TGM Investments. Jay is also an advisor to East Los Capital, a lower mid-market private equity fund. Jay is also Co-Founder and President of Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs of Southern California.
Jay received his BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Juan is Co-Founder and Advisor to The Alpha Play, Inc. Juan brings 20+ years of expertise building and investing in technology startups. He is currently investing in technology and blockchain companies through Matador Capital and funds through his family office. Juan is co-founder of the Web3 social network DSCVR and advisor to the A1 Network.
Juan began his career at the innovation firm IDEO working on early mobile devices and later led technology practices at Continuum and NAX Group. Juan was the co-founder and CEO of a leading social media publishing platform, Epoxy. In the investing space, Juan was the co-founder and Managing Partner of Robert Downey Jr.'s Downey Ventures fund and the pioneering crypto fund Aenigma Capital.
Juan holds a Bachelor's in Product Design, a Master's in Engineering, and an MBA from Stanford University.
Camden is Co-Founder and Advisor to The Alpha Play, Inc. Camden is an investor, founder, and venture community leader. Camden has worked across early-stage investing, venture capital, founder development, and diversity initiatives in tech.
Camden spent time as a founder in Silicon Valley, as a Fellow at Lightspeed Venture Partners and Alchemist Accelerator, as a Principal at Noname Ventures, and as Co-Founding GP at both Industrious Ventures and Creator Rising. Camden is also Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Nextwave X Partners. Camden has been a leader at BLCK VC since 2018, where he co-founded the Black Venture Institute and Breaking into Venture programs.
Camden obtained his BA in Psychology from Harvard University and a JD from Stanford University.
John is Co-Founder and Advisor to The Alpha Play, Inc. John is a native of Atherton, California. He is currently President of the NFL Alumni Nor-Cal Chapter and the Founder of the Inside Anne's Closet Colon Cancer Awareness Initiative.
John is a Super Bowl XXIII Champion ring holder with the San Francisco 49ers, a member of both the Stanford Football and Stanford Basketball Halls of Fame, and a San Francisco Giants MLB Draft pick. In high school at Menlo School, John was a five-time California CIF State Basketball Champion, the MaxPreps 1982 High School Football National Player of the Year, and the USA Today 1982 High School Offensive Football Player of the Year. Returning to his roots, John Paye coached the Menlo School girls' basketball team, including his sister, Kate Paye, who is the current head coach of the Stanford Women's Basketball team.
A champion on and off the field, John continues to be active in sports, leadership, and community service, using his platform to inspire the next generation of athletes and advocates.
John received his BA in Economics from Stanford University.
Peter is Co-Founder and Advisor to The Alpha Play, Inc. Peter brings a wealth of experience from his professional football career and his time as an entrepreneur and investor. Peter’s four-year NFL career spanned multiple teams, including the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, and Green Bay Packers.
Peter received his BA in Communication and Media Studies from Stanford University, where he also served as a team captain for the football team in his fourth and fifth years.
